Erectile dysfunction (ED) describes the inability to achieve and or maintain an erect penis adequate for sexual function. This condition is one of the most common sexual problems for men and increases with age.
Most men have difficulty with erections from time to time, yet in some men, it is more regular and severe. It can cause low self-esteem, performance anxiety, depression and can affect relationships.
Maybe you can obtain an erection but the quality is a problem. Maybe it’s gotten to the point where its necessary to use a pill, a penile pump, or you’ve even have had to inject the penis to be able to “fully function”.
Fortunately, the P- shot, which utilizes PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) in combination with pump therapy for the first few weeks, post-procedure, is very successful in treating ED and Peyronie’s Disease. By harvesting the platelet rich plasma from your blood and injecting it into specific areas of the penis, results of the Priapus-shot:
- Strengthen the penis, making it easier to achieve and maintain an erection
- Straighten the penis in patients with Peyronie’s Disease
- Increase circulation within the penis for a healthier organ.
- Make other therapies work better (if you still need Viagra or Cialis, then it will work better for you or you’ll use less of it).
- Increase sensation and pleasure (helps correct the damage from diabetes).
- Increase size by design; (Can place more in specific areas to achieve the best result)
- No allergic reactions (using your own body’s fluids).
- No lumpiness
There can be a 10 to 20% increase in length and girth, but this is from growth of your own tissue within the penis. There is new blood flow because there is a growth of new blood vessels, not just from dilation of existing blood vessels.
When you first arrive, Dr. Scott will review your medical history with you, the medications you take, recommend appropriate lab testing, and discuss with you the results. Low testosterone levels often contribute to ED and it’s important that these levels are optimized. There is a numbing cream that is applied to the penis, that contains three special numbing ingredients. Blood is drawn from the arm, and this blood is spun in a centrifuge to provide a concentrated amount of platelet rich plasma. The platelets are transferred into another tube where a few drops of calcium chloride solution trick the platelets into thinking that they are in the body and the body has been injured. The liquid is transferred into a syringe and injected into the penis using a tiny needle and in a way that distributes the growth factors (released from the platelets) in the proper way.
You should see improvements immediately, although there is usually a return to prior treatment status in 3-5 days as the PRP is re-absorbed into the body. Within 2-4 weeks an increase in girth and length is common. There’s actual growth of new tissue by stimulation of uni-potent stem cells, so the change in shape is not from something foreign being in the body but from the body actually rejuvenating and growing. The growth factors stimulate new blood flow by actually stimulating new blood vessel growth (neovascularization).
It is important to know that that not everyone will necessarily achieve the same results or satisfaction; however for many, the result is an increase in the length, girth and sensitivity of the penis and the treatment results for those men are impressive. Also, results are not instantaneous. It takes several weeks to achieve the full effects and there are a couple things one must do daily to increase the rate of success. All of which will be discussed during your private consultation.
What are the Vampire Procedures?
The underlying premise is the same for all of the Vampire Procedures. Blood is drawn from the patient’s arm, and that blood is placed in a very specialized centrifuge. This centrifuge first separates the red blood cells from the plasma. Then, it concentrates the platelets. We then utilize this platelet rich plasma (PRP). These platelets contain growth factors that stimulate your own body to regenerate tissue within the area injected. It attracts and “fertilizes” stem cells to become collagen, elastin, blood vessels, adipose tissue, etc. (depending on the area where it’s injected). As an example, if it’s injected into a knee, it will cause the growth of cartilage tissue.
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) has been used in dentistry and in orthopedics for years. Sports stars such as Tiger Wood and Peyton Manning have shortened their wound healing time considerably using this procedure.
In my practice, I am using platelet rich plasma to regenerate tissue in aesthetics (the Vampire Facelift and Facial), in men who suffer from erectile dysfunction (the P-shot), in women to help with sexual issues and urinary incontinence (the O-shot), as well as to help restore breast volume and shape (the Vampire Breast Lift). I have also been using PRP in both women and men, to restore hair growth (the Vampire Hair Restoration Procedure). The PRP that’s injected resorbs within 3-5 days. Then in about 2-4 weeks tissue growth begins, with maximal results being seen at 3 months. The duration of effect is between 12-24 months, depending on the individual and which procedure is chosen.
